Known exclusively in our area as “716 Day”, this Saturday holds more importance and pride than most. On a day, and rather a weekend, with so much hometown pride, there are plenty of ways to celebrate the Elmwood Village community and its culture. This weekend, take a moment to enjoy our neighborhood and spend time with friends and family at one of the many events taking place.
Friday night, the annual Subaru 4 Mile Chase will journey throughout the Elmwood Village once again. Whether you are participating or not, come join the fun on Bidwell around 5 p.m. for happy hour, live music, and family fun! Cheer on runners as they race through the Village toward the finish line, and join the celebration as they finish around 8 p.m. Visit their website for more information.
Saturday morning, stop by the Elmwood Village Farmer’s Market to pick up some local produce, flowers, and baked goods. Make sure you try a fresh pastry from Butter Block before they sell out and pair it with a coffee from Public Espresso! What better way to celebrate our city than with delicious food from local businesses?
With sunny skies in the forecast for the weekend, take advantage of Delaware Park and the scenic parkways in the area. It is going to be a perfect weekend to get outdoors and explore the Village. Try the food at Midtown Kitchen, sit on Cecelia’s patio for dinner, or grab a treat from the Lexington Coop for a picnic on the parkway. There are endless ways to embrace all that the Village has to offer, and there’s no better time to experience it than the weekend when the city celebrates its most popular local holiday.
